According to some local sources, recently, Japanese people started talk about a change to their flag. A japanese man who traveled to 18 different cities just last year said:
“We all know it’s a huge change but we can find a national common ground for this. For example, we can start with a temporary flag just to use when we are abroad, doing the tourism stuff. Then maybe a couple of years later, we’ll try to change the flag for a week or two in a year and see how that goes”
